The original battery of my Motorola Milestone was showing signs of age and not holding a charge like it used to, I thought. So I bought one of these batteries to accomplish two things:
- get a longer lasting battery
- have a second battery on hard to swap over during days of heavy use.
What I found was that the replacement battery was inferior to the original, having perhaps 60% of the capacity of the one I was hoping to replace.
It has made me conclude that the original battery was of very high quality and was essentially still hanging in there.
My recommendation would be to buy this battery if you want a spare, for which it is sufficient, but don't buy it as a replacement.

After charging it for 12 hours, I see the battery status as Full, but, it does not last for more than a few hours. not good!

The Motorola BP6X Battery...alternate?

I received this battery from a seller not named Amazon but through the site anyway. At first appearance you will notice that it is a BP6X battery, but the one I received didn't look exactly new. Didn't look exceptionally used, but it definitely wasn't new. I did however try the battery out and believe it or not it did exactly what it was supposed to do - power the phone. After a few power comparisons with the battery included with my phone (I've got a Droid 2 Global that sucks battery power down like a child drinking a sugary cup of Kool-Aid), it actually compared equivalently, which was a pleasant surprise. The price for the battery was what dared me to try it, and it seems to have been a smart buy. I'd purchase with the notion that if you receive a good battery then you've been blessed, and if it doesn't happen to work as expected it isn't the worst loss in the world. The company I received mine from also included a warranty for replacement if I wasn't satisfied as well, so with those two things in mind I wouldn't have a problem recommending this as a buy to someone else.
