This is a halfway decent phone. I purchased this solely because it's one of the few phones you'll find that has a headset jack. As someone who needs to type notes on my laptop while conducting meetings on the phone, this is an arm/shoulder/neck saver, since it lets me talk "hands free" with a very inexpensive Platronics headset plugged in. I can't understand why more cordless phones don't have a headset jack built in, especially because they're completely standard on mobiles.

That said, the phone is only so-so quality. The information panel, for starters, is not backlit, which makes it very difficult to tell who's calling. Also voice quality is good, but not great. I recently bought a triple pack Panasonic cordless phone set, for example, which is much newer, and everyone I speak with regularly has remarked on the improvement in voice quality.

Bottom line: Don't buy this unless you absolutely have to have a headset jack. In which case, it's dead useful. But if you're like me, you'll want a better cordless phone for every other situation.
