Motorhomes: The Complete GuideThis book needs to be renamed Motorhomes "The Beginners Guide". It is an excellent book for beginners albeit, a little too much on the descriptive side. It is not, however, complete as there are some significant omissions.
The security of the vehicle is glossed over, except a glowing report about Van Bitz, with only a passing reference to Thatcham and no reference at all to Sold Secure. The section on insurance is also incomplete, so when I applied for motorhome insurance for the first time, I was asked for the Thatcham security category. I had read this book, but had no idea what they were talking about. I re-read the relevant sections of the book, but was none the wiser. Internet to the rescue!
There are too many unnecessary photos of motorhomes but very few explanatory diagrams to help explain the text which makes it difficult to understand and visualise.
Helpful book? Yes, very. But not complete.
