Product Description

Product Description

Motörizer is designed for people that like the fullest weight of quality on their ears. These heavy duty over-the-ear headphones give you smooth warm bass, bombastic drums and clear mid-range plus distinct high end, thanks to the 40mm neodymium high power speakers. With the knowledge of using studio headphones for decades, we have made the mid and the high frequencies so clear, you easily can separate the instruments from each other. Thanks to this you can enjoy the music as professional musicians do in the studio.

The headphones are designed with DJs in mind, with turnable ear cups for single side listening. With Motörizer you get our own Controlizer, a Smartphone ready microphone / controller which can adjust the volume, pause, play, forward, fast forward, rewind and fast rewind your music; answer, hang up, put on hold, switch between calls, voice control, take photos and videos (depending on your model of Smartphone).

The heavy duty woven cable is detachable. Motörizer is delivered with a 1 metre Smartphone ready cable with Controlizer, and a 2.5 metre cable for listening at home or wherever you find it comfortable. The cable is single sided as on all professional headphones.

About Motörheadphönes

No weak-kneed, lily-livered, tin-pot and skinny sounding little pieces of garbage, no, that ain’t Motörhead’s style. These are headphones designed to deliver everything louder than everything else but with the sort of range, clarity and true rock reproduction you’d expect from a band of road warriors who have been at the top of the tree year after year.

As the road-warriors themselves say, "If it's too loud, you're too old."

I bought mine from Amazon instead of Amazon.co.uk, took 4 days to arrive (free shipping) and saved me £20.

As far as headphones go the sound quality is superb, I also have a £200 pair of Sennheisers and these give them a run for their money.

My one criticism is the fit. They cannot be adjusted downwards only upwards, i.e. if you have a big head no problem - but if you have a smaller head or your ears are slightly higher on your bonce than the norm then you're doomed. With the cans on the ears in the correct position the support floats half a centimetre above my head, and there is no way to adjust them.

Also be aware that they show up deficiencies in AAC's or MP3's. I've ripped a few thousand CD's to my PC in AAC and MP3 format so they don't take up too much room when played on my iPod, but if you play the original CD alongside the corresponding AAC/MP3 these headphones Really let you know just how rubbish AAC/MP3's are when compared to the original CD.

Packaging:
The packaging for the Motorizer headphones is great. The design is based on an guitar amplifier cabinet case which is pretty cool. Even the accessories are in its own little 'cabinet' at the bottom of the box. There is a flap at the front/side for you to open to see the headphones inside the box via a little see-through plastic window and on the reverse are several pictures of Motorhead playing live, as well as a few paragraphs about 'the story' behind the headphones and the sharp criticism they went through in development until they were perfect. This includes some colourful language as you would expect from a band as baddass as Motorhead. On the back of the box we are treated to the features of the product and a the side has the specifications as well as a fantastic overview of the product which starts with 'Ta-daa! You lucky S.O.B!' Priceless.

Contents:
When you get past the fantastic packaging and actually open the box, you are treated to the Motorizer headphones in all their glory, tied to a nice red cardboard place-holder with cable ties. Underneath this, you have the small cabinet which has all the accessories inside it. This includes: A branded Motorhead phones carry pouch. Two cables, the first is a 2.5m straight cale, the second is a shorter 1m cable with microphone/controller function. (I believe this is only functional with the iPhone at present.) The cables are made of a thick, durable, woven material which helps prevent tangling. It also comes with 35mm to 63mm jack adaptor and a cable clip to secure the detachable cable from accidentally being pulled out. As well as all this and the instruction manual, you also get a free Motorheadphone sticker!

Sound:
Last but certainly not least, the sound. Fantastic is an understatement!

Brilliant 'near-studio' quality. Looked and listened to many rivals and some, as in the vastly over-rated Beats by Dre range, more expensive.
Can't recommend them highly enough!

normally i detest branding but i fell for it with these for two reasons, one i'm a massive motorhead fan obviously and two these were actually the best spec for the money at the time.

The audiophile in me could talk about sound specs but they're available to read elsewhere do your own homework and make your mind up like i did {^_^}.

The main thing i wanted to comment on is the build quality of the headphones. They are easily the sturdiest and most durable headphones I've come across. I walk two miles a day in all weathers and generally wear them for stretches of 8 hours or more at work and haven't had a problem. That's the standard use test.

The real test is my son who is now one and a half. He has kicked, dropped, thrown, tripped over, chewed on, bashed and generally abused the heck out of these. Initially I took them off him worried they might break as they were a birthday treat to myself. Now i just let him play with them any time he wants because i would genuinely say they are as close to unbreakable as you'll get without having to go out of your way to break them.

The only issue i had is the small cable broke about 2 months in but this way my fault anyway (like an idiot I stood on the end one day by accident) plus another reason i bought these was because of the easy cable replacement. A mate who's a DJ massively advocated easy replace cable methods on headphones as he hasn't had a pair of headphones last more than a month with the type of constant abuse we give them. The spare cable they give you which i had with me anyway (the long one) is still going strong and its now almost december (bought in may).

If you want durable headphones that are toddler proof these are for you.

Love them. Good (very neutral) sounding, they work wonders with rock and pop. I also fired my beloved Malmsteen's "Concerto suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra" and the orchestra, never mind the Viking, sounded great.
I also love the styling and they are very comfortable, not heavy at all. I was not so sure of the "1 size fits all" design, since I have a rather big head, but no problems here.

Only few minor issues (hence the missing star)
1) The mic/control unit "Motorizer" has not full support for android, skip track does not work as far as I have tried.
2) Although the headphones come with cool packaging, branded bag and all, I would have liked a rigid carrying case of some sort.
3) Even if Mikey Dee himself said that those are unbreakable, and the construction speaks quality, I would not bet my life on it. They are plastic after all.
