I bought this book alongside John Hermann's book in the same series. Absolutely brilliant and inspirational. Excellent, short and to the point narrative of daily runs to interesting places. This is a book for the exploring motorcyclist who likes to appreciate the surroundings and not just cover large distances in the shortest time. Superb accompanying photos. I found it very useful to sit down with this book and a large scale map to plan some realy good trips incorporating a lot of the advice and knowledge.

A great book with a good selection of routes, with easy to follow directions. The suggested routes are easily adapted if you are looking for a longer or shorter day.

Fantastic book....well written and very informative. Exactly what I was looking for in planning our European bike trip in 2012
I really like the approach the author has taken by focusing on roads that are a bit out of the mainstream, and then incorporating some history, accommodation, and sightseeing options.
It is really difficult to find travel books written specifically for the nuances of motorcyclists, but this book really goes out of it's way to make the reader feel really comfortable and confident in undertaking the lifetime dream.
