A jewel in the Electronica crown. Although the cheeky, perhaps even scatalogical (Motion Without Pain?), track titles are present in true Pork style (see stablemates Fila Brazillia for more of the same) this is a classy piece of work from the boys. Sparsely effective samples and jazz-funk guitar licks underpin and overlay shimmering but never overdone layers of synth and beats. Coolly jazz-led overall, the mood shifts into a more kick back and chill out groove with the marvellous Ebb and Flow. I nearly dropped a rating star due to the very slightly abrasive Pigs in Space, but the sheer frequency of spins this album gets in the player despite a burgeoning number of worthy contenders in this genre bags it top marks.

I CALL IF DAFT UNDERGROUND FUNK. These guys are just awesome like their buddies Fila Brazillia. You won't find yourself being upset by buying this. It is a naughty little funk classic. Only the Bristish really know how to pull out all the stops when it comes to eccentric funky breaks. Grab a copy you might just like it?
