5.0 out of 5 stars You Gotta Read This!!, 23 Aug 2007
By Julie Shackman (Scotland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is a very sharp and witty observation of a modern day Mum struggling to realise her dreams.

I had to keep biting my lip when on public transport reading this as I was in great danger of laughing out loud. Some of the one-liners are classics.

"Double Trouble" was great but this was even funnier.

Buy it and lose yourself in it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious, 22 Aug 2007

You HAVE to read this book. I laughed constantly from start to finish!! Shari's sense of humour is hysterical, and as a Scottish girl myself I found it hilarious. The characters seem so real (just like my own friends), and the wee boys are so cute. A fantastic read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hollywood with toddlers in tow, 12 Aug 2007
By Avid reader (Scotland, UK) - See all my reviews
If you've ever dreamt that one day you're going to sit down and knock up a little script and sell it for squillions to Hollywood, then this is the book for you. It's a hilarious tale of what really happens when you pack your bags, your children (plus their PJs, toothbrushes, swimming trunks, factor 25 etc etc) onto a jumbo jet and arrive bleary eyed in tinseltown to find it's not quite as sparkly as you thought. With gags packed on every page, why Shari isn't in Hollywood writing comedy blockbusters is a mystery!

1.0 out of 5 stars rubbish
I'm very surprised to see so many good reviews on here. This is not a good book. It's not funny, witty, well-observed. It's not sad, tragic or poignant. It's utter tosh. Read more
