By A Customer
I got interested in Nero Wolfe stories when I accidently came across the television adaptations. It is a pity that these are only available to buy on Region One DVD. The Mother Hunt is one of my favorites.

Wolfe and Archie are trying to find out who is the mother of a baby left in their clients doorway. And whether the client's late husband is the father of that baby. Their questioning leads to people ending up dead and having to expose the murderer.
Archie is at his best here holding the hand of the client and hiding out with Nero Wolfe in her house when Inspector Cramer wants to question them. I love it when Wolfe has to cope not being in his sanctuary. The writing of this story is excellent.
