This book brought me great joy and happiness. Its the book of the century. I would recommend it to families and children. The drawings and the text are exquisite. I was elated by the the end. I love the “big hug” at the back.

One to avoid. It reminds me of the Atheist quote : ` Science too difficult for you? Try God !` It is fairy tale mythology like this that has given false hope for 1,000s of years. The author does not seem to realize we are living in the 21st century. Rather than find out the biological and evolutionary reasons why some people ` yearn for a meaning to life `, assumptions are made and the personification of stellar objects becomes highly misleading. There is no explanation of the ` Mother God ` character . EG, where did it come from, why does it exist rather than not exist. Where did the intelligence come from etc etc , this has left one mystery to explain another mystery, no answers are given, nor even attempted.

Indoctrinating children in to these types of belief systems, in my opinion, is a form of mental child abuse.

Every age yearns for its own creation myth. Ms. Ramsden satisfies this yearning in us. By reconciling science and religion in her touching narrative, she sacralizes the Universe and us.
