Product Description

Product Description

Kenneth and Patrick Doyle grew up in a family of nine children in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

Though the home was dysfunctional and all the children suffered at the hands of their parents, Kenneth and Patrick were singled out for horrific abuse at the hands of their mother.

Starved, beaten and sent out to steal, their story is a catalogue of abuse. It also implicates the authorities, who had pages upon pages of reports on their situation, and yet never stepped in.

About the Author

Kenneth & Patrick Doyle were born and raised in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. The story of the horrific abuse they suffered at the hands of their own mother was first revealed in the Sunday World newspaper. Kenneth now lives in the US and Patrick in the UK.

Over coming fear 9 May 2009
Format:Paperback
This is an exceptional book. Really well written and brought me to tears many times. The difference between this book and others is that you have 2 brothers a few years apart who were targets for their mothers rage. She did have 7 other children and although I don't think there lives were without abuse it was nothing like Ken and Partick endured. I know that there lives have been blighted now and forever but I truly hope that by writing this book it will help to heal them.

I wont tell you too much but this book does have a start and a middle and an end.

Mother From Hell 17 July 2010
By Sabrina Rutter - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
this memoir of an abusive childhood reminded so much of Dave Pelzer's A Child Called It. Again I was shocked at how unloving and abusive a mother could be. It did seem that the brothers left out some things that might be a little to personal. When you read their story you will see why I feel this way.
One of the main things that bothered me was the fact that the woman responsible for causing so much pain and permanent damage to two men who by all means should have been perfectly healthy, but had their health destroyed by her was not brought to justice (or at least the book doesn't mention it). There is enough evidence to remove any doubt that the brothers are telling the truth so I can't understand why this woman is not spending her last years of life behind bars.

Innocent childhoods stolen 28 Jun 2009
By John Mooney - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
A terrible life to subject innocent children to and made even worse by the fact that so many knew and did nothing about it.

Again, the pillars of Irish society are to blame for childhoods stolen. The Gardai, Doctors, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Judges are still fooled by sociopaths and don't know how to deal with them, let alone even recognise their evil ways.

This book is a further wake up call to help protect the innocent in our society.

A compelling read for those who have their heads buried in the sand.
