This book is really for people who would want to enjoy the scenic countryside without having the local knowledge...compliment it with a SAT NAV and thats all you need for a nice destination of your choice.
i have only yet tried 1 route which covers surrey and there were so many beautiful places just 30 miles from my house which i would have never visited had it not been for this book. Its not overloaded with information and reasonably easy to follow , just like having a personal guide for a local area but with a little effort(though well worth it)
i intend to use this book more for our future weekends and really recommend it to anyone who would like to explore the beautiful countryside of england, scotland and wales by car.

If you are looking for a book with detailed information on towns, villages and stop offs then this is not the right guide for you. Get AA's Great Britain.

However, if you are looking at a guide for the most amazing drives, then this is perfect. It does what it says on the tin!

I have only managed 1 drive ...lladudno and was so impressed with the drive, I can't wait to find the time to the the next one!
Amazing value. Get one if you like exploring...

Good guide book 1 Jun 2011
By Richard
A nationwide selection of journeys including photographs, local area/route maps and details of nearby attractions. Excellent quality book for the price with glossy colour finish throughout. Just need to save for the fuel costs!
