Product Description

Protect your Kindle's display with Moshi's AirFoil screen protector. To considerably ease an otherwise strenuous installation process, the overlay is equipped with AirFoil(TM) technology that aids in the rapid dissipation of air bubbles. The optical-grade overlay is surface-treated to resist fingerprint smudges whilst retaining absolute transparency and clarity optimised for high-definition resolution. The polymer adhesive is also specially formulated to ensure the edges do not curl after extended use and that no residue remains when removed. When it comes to the most essential protection for your Kindle, you should settle for nothing less.

I bought a Paperwhite to replace an older model after its screen failed. Moving to a touchscreen model it made sense to give the screen some extra protection so I bought the screen protector. Looks and feels just like it did without the protector as bubbles smooth out easily.

My only grumble (other than the price) would be that the instructions say to apply from the bottom of the screen and I would suggest applying it from the top. This is because your starting edge will be flush whereas the finishing edge will leave a small gap. Applying from the bottom means that this small gap lies across the length of the the information bar along the top of the screen. The backlight illuminates this so it's always visible; a glowing white line which for me spoils the otherwise clean look of the device. I may try reapplying, but if it doesn't work I've wasted almost £20.

2.0 out of 5 stars not good 27 Feb. 2014

I am very disappointed with this item, it seems to `fog` the page. The sticker which is meant to help you lay it on leaves a sticky residue on the protector when you try to remove it. Too late to send it back because I have stretched the part where it was sticky whilst trying to remove the sticky residue. Apart from that I think it is overpriced for what it is.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed 17 Feb. 2014

I have already responded to this request but sadly did not receive comments from yourselves. The reason I have only given it 3 stars is because when I tried to fit it to the screen following your instructions the tab at the top tore the screen slightly. It was fairly expensive for a piece of what looks like plastic so I was not too happy that this happened.

Besides the obvious, one of the reasons I like Kindle is its design so I did not like the idea of applying any supplements that could change his appearance.

But due to the one accident, I decided to give a chance to the one of screen protectors and while on business trip I bought Moshi AirFoil Screen Protector.

I was pleasantly surprised with this certified Kindle accessory that can be used with multiple Kindle models - Paperwhite, Original, Touch, Keyboard. Its installation on Kindle screen is easy - in package you'll receive a cloth to clean your screen, then you need to peel off the first sheet, roll it carefully over the screen and then push the air bubbles out.

In package, beside mentioned cloth and applicator one screen protector is included, so there is no need to worry for some time about fingerprints or scratches on your beloved Kindle.

If you are OK to change a bit the look of your Kindle in fear that your screen could be ruined I can recommend this screen protector.

3.0 out of 5 stars Better than most 7 Feb. 2014

Good quality, thick protector, provided with plenty of instructions and gadgets to apply properly. Unfortunately still crinkles and lifts at bottom corners after a while

5.0 out of 5 stars Great piece of kit 7 Feb. 2014

Very easy to apply, once on the screen you cannot tell that the screen protector is in place, it takes nothing away from the reading experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Invisible to the eye 28 Jan. 2014

The screen protector is a bit fiddly to put on and it takes some patience to get the air bubbles out but once it's settled you wouldn't even know it was there, it doesn't impede the touch screen one bit.

3.0 out of 5 stars Reasonably happy 12 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase
I did not have a similar protective layer on the screen of my previous Kindle but decided to give it a go this time, mainly because this time I had bought a touch-screen model.

I struggled a bit to get it on without any air bubbles or misalignment but in the end managed to get a result that I was reasonably happy with.

Would I buy one again? On balance I think I would as I am not totally sure whether or not the screen needs such a protective layer and I suppose it is a case of wanting to be safe than sorry. Still I suppose the manufacturers want this attitude from us all.
