1.0 out of 5 stars Moshi Monsters Where's Moshi? 24 Aug 2011
Verified Purchase
Durability: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 1.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my daughters - 6 and 9 - who are crazy about MM's. After they first played it I asked their opinion and they said 'it was a bit rubbish' ... I think the problem with this game is that on first impressions it looks like a very similar game called 'Guess Who'

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Guess-Who-Fun-Run-Game/dp/B00000IWD9/ref=sr_1_14?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1314185353&sr=1-14

and whilst this is an excellent game, do not confuse it with this one or you will come unstuck as we did.

The MM's game relies on each player knowing all the MM's from the start and also knowing what category of MM they are from. If you know this then a max of 5 or 6 questions will usually get you to the answer and the end of the game.

If you don't know the key facts you could be there for hours !

Potentially a good game but I can't help feeling the Manufacturer has jumped on the Tidal Wave (if not Tsunami) of interest currently around for MM's and hasn't thought through the actual playability of the game...needs some work!

3.0 out of 5 stars moshi game 2 Aug 2011

Durability: 2.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
this is based on the standard guess who game.
while it's a good enough game in itself, there is one major flaw with it-you don't get a pack of cards with the moshi monsters on to choose your main guessing card (this is the card that usually stands at the front of the players tray in the guess who game). you have to rely on remembering what your moshi looks like or to mark it off on your own play tray with the little yellow peg provided. this does make it hard for younger players as they have to keep remembering if they should have knocked that card down when asking questions to guess the other players monster.

this comes as a DIY project, you have to put the 'flippers' on yourself as well as trying to line the small stickers up on them, this is quite fiddly and is better done by an adult.
the tray and flippers themselves are a bit flimsy so could break easily if played with a bit roughly.

had i known these facts about the game i would have thought twice about buying it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game for older Moshi fans! 8 Nov 2011
By Louise
Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Bought this as a gift for my 8 year old Moshi Mad daughter and she loves it. It's very much like Guess Who but with Moshlings rather than People. We think it would have been better if you had cards which you picked to remind you of what your Moshling looked like and to stop both players from choosing the same Moshling, however it's still a very addictive game. I would say it should be aimed at the older Moshi fan rather than younger players but overall it's a fun, family game

3.0 out of 5 stars More moshi stuff... 14 Sep 2011

Durability: 2.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
While the Where's Moshi is based on the Guess Who tried and tested method there is one place where it falls down enormously....
Usually in Guess Who you would have a stack of cards to pick from to see which character you are going to use.
In this you just stick a pin beside the character on the board so if you know where the people are then you know what the person has unless you move them araound all the time.
Cheap stingy move Moshi's

Our 7 year old has played in once. Says it all really. The game is how can I put it really plasticly and one of the flip up things broke straight of. Much better games out there.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cheap Guess Who Version for Moshi fans 27 July 2011
Durability: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This is simply a version of Guess Who for children who love MOSHI MONSTERS.

It is reasonably priced (at under a tenner) and simple to play (and set up).

It is smaller than you would expect and due to the size of a Guess Who Board, only features 24 of the 48 Moshling characters (4 rows of 6).

There is not much else to say really other than this is a clever branding use of a classic guessing game, getting children to think of imaginative ways and questioning for eliminating options to guess.

The suppliers of this product are professional and it is well sent.

My daughter was very happy to receive this. Would only recommend as a collectors item as its very flimsy and you can see through it. . Cant beat the original Guess who.

Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
This game was a lot smaller than I expected, and you need to stick the stickers on yourself when it arrives. However, we have had a lot of fun playing it.
