5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth it at the price 4 July 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
7 novels for 77p is quite a bargain so right from the start I feared that they would all be unreadable rubbish. Well I have to say they vary in quality - the Carson Black novel is head and shoulders above the rest and the collection is well worth buying for that one alone. I loved her writing style particularly her ability to evoke the beauty of the Arizona setting - at times she reminded me a little of Zane Grey. The twists and turns in the narrative kept me on my toes and I failed to guess the resolution of both major storylines which I find is rare with modern thrillers. Will definitely hunt down her other stories now.

The Melissa Millar story isn't bad either and I liked her Native American legal heroine, though towards the end she seems in danger of morphing into a character from X-men! 'Implants' was a fast-paced read, however, great in the action sequences, not so great in the characterisation. On balance it would make a better computer game than a novel. The rest I could take or leave and most of them remained unfinished.

Would be a great set to take on holiday with your kindle.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great readable stories 27 Jun 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The stories looked interesting in the reviews I read and therefore drew my interest. The stories are the type I like, fictional with a sense of humour, and some great characters. I would recommend these novels to anyone who suffers from insomnia and likes to read all night. I haven't put my Kindle down and try to read at.least one story a night. Good reading.

Format:Kindle Edition
My review is for Sole intention as this is the only book I've read so far from this collection. I will update my review each time I read another book.
If you have not read a M A Comley book yet, then you don't know what your missing.
Wasn't sure what to expect as this is the first book in a new series, but by god i enjoyed it.
The new characters are Great, and i can really see them growing as the books grow.
i'm now looking forward to the next one.. can't wait.......

Former police officers Ellen Brazil and Brian Lynx have joined forces to start a successful missing persons investigation firm which has just been contracted to find the wife of bodybuilder Will Endersbe. Ellen discovers that a number of women with similar features and hair colour have also vanished in the Worcester area. Ellen and Brian suspect a serial kidnapper is to blame, and without a body, the police are happy to leave the case in their hands to solve.

As a book set it's not so bad - some reasonable reads and some brilliant ones. As with most boxk sets, you pays your money and you takes your chance!! Having said that, at a purchase price of 77p it's good value for money so, yes, I would recommend this set.
