This lovely story will appeal to the youngest of any family who is tired of being the baby! Morris has an older brother and sisters who will not share their christmas presents with him. Morris's new bear is not interesting enough to swap. After a little sulk in the corner on Christmas day, Morris discovers a present that has been overlooked, the most exciting present of all, the disappearing bag. He crawls in and is invisible. Of course the older ones are keen to share Morris's present now so they gladly offer him theirs.
The illustrations are, as always with Rosemary Wells, expressive and charming. The story is simply but effectively told and is a joy to read aloud.
Morris will capture the hearts of everyone from Grandparents to the youngest children. A lovely book for Christmas and a treat for the child frustrated at how unfair being the youngest can be.

5.0 out of 5 stars A childhood classic 15 Jan 2014
By Zoe

This book was a real favourite with us when we were kids so was really pleased to be able to source it so easily 30 years later. The illustrations are still as fabulous and the short story now keeps our little ones amused. Yes it's American and I hadn't really remembered that but it's a fun, feel good story which is loved by our 2 and 4 year old.

This was my daughter's favourite book. We read it so often it fell to pieces. I therefore decided to buy it for my grand-daughter.
