I've had this blanket for 3 years and it died a few days ago. When it *was* working, it was absolute rubbish compared with other Morphy Richards blankets I've had in the past. It takes almost 2 hours to heat up, and if you like to keep it on the lowest setting all night, it has some kind of inbuilt timer that switches it off after 12 hours. So if you want to start heating the bed at 7pm to be ready by 9pm, it will turn itself off at 7am. The instructions claim you can just switch it off and back on again to reset it - not true. You have to leave it off for 5 minutes before it resets, and if you don't, it won't come back on again and you'll think it's broken. Although it has 6 heat settings, the highest one is like 'medium' on previous Morphy blankets, so not really warm enough on a very cold night. Very disappointed with the lack of decent heat and the fact it died in 3 years. No more Morphy Richards for me! I'm off to buy a SilentNight one right now.
