The Burgundy Red and Polished Stainless Steel kettle benefits from a removable limescale filter and a 3KW rapid-boil element which is concealed for easy cleaning and descaling. It also features an illuminated viewing window and a 360° connector so the kettle can be replaced at position on its cordless base. Additional safety features include a failsafe cut out and automatic cut-out function.

I bought this kettle about a month ago but it was the white plastic version. I must say I have been extremely pleased with it so far. It does just what it says on the tin; it boils quickly and very quietly (one of the quietest kettles I have used and a great improvement on the previous Krups kettle I had, which sounded like a jet taking off; the spout is quite large and it pours well; it is easy to fill and the the water volume window is easy to see and read (and gently illuminated during boiling). All in all a very good, practical kettle. Just what you want. I'd buy one again on this initial evidence.

I'm very pleased with this kettle. It's very quiet, and it actually BOILS for a few seconds, unlike many others which barely reach the boil before clicking off.
The spout is wide, so it's easy to fill from this area, and the whistle is subtle.
Once the water is switched on to boil the blue illuminated panel glows softly.
The kettle is fairly heavy once filled, but also stable.
All in all it's the best kettle I've bought in a long while.

Amazon Verified Purchase
This was bought as a replacement for a very noisy jug kettle (anon) and has fulfilled this function very well indeed!! The TV volume no longer has to be increased when boiling said kettle for a cuppa.
Also has a very smart colour scheme and an easy to read water content window.
Overall a good buy!!

Does what its made for
