I purchased this to replace my deceased Breville Bar Italia - I was attracted by the hefty £40 discount and the fantastic colour.
WOW!
It makes a fabulously well balanced espresso, the steamer trebles the volume of milk and the best part is the speed. Ready to go in about 60 seconds of switching on!
The handy removable water tank holds a huge amount - after filling to the maximum I made about five double-shot cappucinos back to back and it was still two-thirds full. There's also no phaffing around with de-pressurising between shots the way you do with lesser machines - a huge bonus when you're making lots of coffees.
The machine and the espresso cups are entirely metal which I think is a huge bonus - much hardier and better for people like me with a tendency to drop things.
My only gripe would be that it doesn't come with it's own milk frothing jug. Fortunately I'd hung on to my old one from my last machine, but if I hadn't I'd have been a little annoyed.
But overall, highly recommended!

When my Gaggia espresso maker broke 2 days after its warranty expired, I was faced with an espresso free Christmas. Thanks to Amazon and Morphy Richards, I received this handsome, sturdy and great value machine.
It makes really good coffee, worthy of a much more expensive machine. I thought it would just be a stop-gap, but I'm mightily impressed, and have no plans to look for anexpensive replacement.

This machine is fun, it looks cheerful, makes great coffee and it's almost half
the price of the top Morphy Richards 47507 model (which I tried but returned when it failed). Great value. Why spend a penny more.

Frustrating machine!!
When I first started using it, the coffee holder would come undone with the vibration of the pump, and that was in the 90 degree position, resulting in a horrible mess.....! Read more
