The Morphy Richards Compact Steamer is scientifically proven to kill dust mites and neutralise allergens without the use of chemicals, a fact that has helped it to be awarded the British Allergy Foundation Seal of Approval. Offering 2000 Watts of power and 20 minutes of steam at 115 degrees Celsius, it has a range of accessories for every task:
- Angle nozzle: Directs steam into awkward spaces, such as round the taps or under the lip of the sink or toilet.
- Jet nozzle: Ideal for defrosting the fridge or neutralising fabric odours.
- Round brush: Gets out ground-in or stubborn dirt, great for cleaning the hob or tile grouting.
- Upholstery nozzle: Useful for cleaning upholstery or removing creases from clothing.
- Window squeegee attachment: Cleans windows, patio doors, conservatory glass and shower screens.

After reading the previous reviews I was worried about this products capabilities. But I have to say it is perfect.
I have a one bedroom flat and have hayfever and allergies. I wanted to steam the mattress, steam the carpets and the sofa. I did this and still had steam left....so I steamed cleaned the kitchen and bathroom floor.....I still had steam left, so I cleaned the windows. This lasted brilliantly and it is small, so very easy to store (I have had steamers before that take up an entire cupboard.
It is efficient and I breathe much easier at night now that I steam the matress once a week.

The product does what it says, and provides a good flow of steam, for cleaning tiles, windows etc. However, it has one big disadvantage. Once the unit is up to temperature, the steam is continuous! You can't switch it off temporarily while you scrub something, or need to stop. You have to turn the whole unit off. Even when you want to change the attachment again you have to turn it off, wait for it to stop steaming, change the attachment, then wait again for it to heat up!! I have had a number of steamers over the past 5 years - all had the ability to switch off the steam mid flow!

I was a bit worried about buying this because of some the reviews but it has been very useful. I have used it to clean windows, carpets and upholstery. I have also used it to deep clean the bathroom and kitchen tiles and I was impressed with the results. Fully recommend it
