I was really looking forward to getting this item, as it had been out of stock everywhere since long before christmas.
What a let-down. The blender is reasonable, but the hand mixer attachment can't even cope with a light pancake batter and struggles even wih whipping cream! The electric knife only offers a little bit more power than mere elbow grease - certainly not enough to justify spending money on such an itme.
I realy thought this would save space in my cupboards and become an item I would use daily if not more often, but I'm going to be flogging mine as soon as possible.
This accomplishes nothing more than a good quality food processor could - put your money towards one of these instead.

A USEFUL MULTI-TOOL 7 Feb 2006
By A Customer
I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING THE FIRST REVIEWER SAID. I WAS ALSO CONCERNED ABOUT THE BATTERY. IT WENT FLAT AFTER SLICING OUR JOINT OF MEAT AND MASHING THE POTATOES. BUT IT DOES DO THE JOBS QUITE WELL IS EASY TO USE AND FULLY RECHARGES IN ABOUT TWO HOURS. THERE IS NO TRAILING WIRE TO CUT ACCIDENTALLY SO YOU CAN TAKE IT TO WHERE IT IS NEEDED, AT THE COOKER, THE BREAD BOARD, OR THE TABLE. TAKE CARE WITH THE KNIFE WHICH IS VERY SHARP. WE PAID £21 FROM AMAZON AND HAVE THE OPTION TO RETURN IT, BUT THINK IT WORTH KEEPING. I AM SURE IT WILL HAVE MANY IMITATORS AND YOU MAY WISH TO WAIT FOR A BIGGER CAPACITY BATTERY BUT THEY MAY BE HEAVIER AND DEARER. NOTE THAT THERE IS NO JUG FOR THE BLENDER.

Going wireless... 13 Dec 2005
By A Customer
I purchased this item while shopping around for an electric carving knife (I'm one of those people who can't cut a slice of bread without veering off-course and ending up with a wedge) and have to say that I'm very happy with the product. Being cordless is really both its weakness and its strength as the tool is really only suitable for light kitchen jobs such as slicing fresh bread, meat, whisking eggs, batter of sponge cake mixture etc. The big advantage of it being cordless is that you can just pick it up and use it without having to plug-in (or find a spare socket) and you can take the tool to the job rather than the other way round. The real advantage here is that the gadget gets used everyday and doesn't end-up in the back of the drawer like other similar items. If you don't expect it to slice frozen bread or mix a fruit-cake then you won't be disappointed, and the price (£24 at the time of writing) makes this great value for money.
