    I recently bought one of these to replace a Rowenta that started leaking, and I must say how impressed I am with it for such an affordable kettle !

    It feels very well made and has some nice features such as the extra large spout for filling without opening the lid, the extra wide illuminated water level windows, the 'whistle on boil' option that you can switch on or off as desired, the limescale filter and the sprung lid that opens at the touch of a button.

    It goes on and off the 360 degree base with no fuss and its very well balanced in your hand, making holding and pouring very easy, even when it's full of water. The on/off switch is both simple to use and very sturdy and I can't forsee any problems with it over time, that said the kettle also comes with a manufacturer 2 year warrenty for peace of mind !

    If your thinking about this kettle, its well worth the money, its probably worth twice the money actually, I got the graphite one as it matches my kitchen but they do other colours and I would assume the build quaility will be the same, so I highly recommend this kettle !

    Great design and style. Definite fast boil. Your choice on whether the whistle on boil is something you want all the time but it is good novelty value.

    Must say have never had any problems with Morphy Richards products which is why I bought this one.

    Colour is fab if you want a neutral look for your accessories

    After yet another expensive fashion kettle selected from the leading brands leaked (making our score 3 kettles in 2 years), we decided that enough was enough. We searched through the reviews looking for a kettle that would last considering models costing anything up to £200. All paths lead to the same place as we found that this Morphy Richards had superb reviews.

    At first we were worried about buying what we perceived to be a cheap plastic kettle having been used to "quality" stainless steel models but decided that if we got 4 months out of it we would be no worse off. Our fears were unfounded as whilst this is a plastic kettle it is quite well made and the plastic is good quality. It is not high gloss black, more dark grey but looks fine.

    The kettle is very light without water making it manageable when filled, but the base is stable enough that it stays put when lifting the kettle on and off. It's shape makes it very balanced to handle when filled with water and it pours nicely (even very slowly) without so much as a drip from the spout. Boiling very quickly (especially with just a mug full of water) I expected that the electronic whistle when boiled would be turned off within a few days, but we've grown to like it as a very useful feature.

    After 6 months living with this kettle we are still very pleased we took a gamble and gave it a try. It's much better than some of the more expensive models which last no time at all.
