First thing you notice when opening the box is the size of this iron,it's large,it looks weird,ugly or a thing of beauty will be down to the individual,but it does a great job of gliding thro' the ironing.With a constant shot of steam and a 3metre lead,it just allows you to get the job done as quickly as possible.We have tried both ceramic and aluminium sole plates and don't believe you can better stainless steel as found on this iron.If anything ever shows you get what you pay for,it's this iron.Don't worry if you've got an iron tidy,the iron,though large, will still fit in.If anything it fits better than our previous iron.Yes,this iron is a little pricey but definitely worth every single penny.Highly recommended.

Bought this as a replacement for our old iron which gave up the ghost after 10 years. I ordered this iron only after looking at the whole range of steam irons on Amazon and reading many of the reviews. Morphy Richards as a manufacturer stood out in the reviews which left me only with the problem of selecting a model. The main reasond for this purchase were stainless steel sole, anti-scale system, large water capacity and steam boost in the toe of the iron. Another point that came out in the reviews was that it was said to glide over the laundry. Arrival coincided with a pile of bed linen awaiting ironing. I hate ironing with a vengence but on this occasion it was almost a pleasure; particularly in watching the pile of linen reduce rapidly. Previous reviews mentioned that it was heavy and yes, even taking into account the 350ml water tank and the long cable, it is but if anything it actually assisted in ironing pillow slips, undersheet and duvey covers because there was no necessity to press down with the iron; it's own weight is sufficient to apply the required pressure. It knocks spots off my previous iron but then it was 10 years old and there have been some very important developments.
As for the seller, ordered on the Tuesday, arrived by Parcel Force on the Thursday. It doesn't come much better in my book. The last point came as a total surprise and I'm amazed it's not used in the advert for this iron. It comes with a 12 months guarantee but this is extended to 2 years if you register with the manufacturer within 28 days of purchase. The first thing I did after making sure the iron worked properly was register it; the acknowledgement I got from the maker on their website actually states '3 years' under warranty; I've taken a hard copy and clipped it to my receipt. I strongly receommend this iron and the seller to all; it takes much of the boredom away from the ironing board!

I really like this iron. I have not bought an iron for more than 6 years, i have been using steam generators which suits me as they are lighter and hold more water and are good for heavy duty stuff like linen and denim. However the last one broke after 18 months and i needed an iron quickly as the basket was getting very high. I put in steam irons and one similar to this came up on amazon so i had a look and a read and thought this looks really odd. I then did some more scrolling and this model came up, it was a reasonable price I'll have that how bad can it be i thought. I had seen some cheap and nasty ones in the stores for almost the same price. When it came i thought this thing is huge. Now the review. It is a heavy iron but i am use to a generator where the weight is in the tank not the iron so that took a little getting use too. I was impressed with the power of the steam for an iron and the fact that it worked well on my linen and denim, also the reason it is so big is due to the water tank which i love as i don't have to refill after ironing two garments. As i said before i really like this iron and would recommend it as a good buy. I have fixed my generator as the switch went so i ordered a new one and now i can use the Morphy Richards for a few items like when i am rushing in the morning as it heats up very quick and the generator when i have a large amount of ironing and a little more time. Let me be clear "I HATE IRONING" but anything that makes my life a little easier is good for me. Good iron, good price and easy to use. Here ends my review hope you found it useful.
