After buying a fab Morphy Richards Breadmaker for my Mum, i decided that maybe a Steamer would be just as successful in alternative cooking.
And i am so pleased with it! The Steamer is so easy to use, and its results are really tasty. Usually we cook vegetables in a pan on the hob, but by using the steamer it makes the vegetables much more full of flavour and alot softer (without being soggy).
Its great value and i dont think i'd cook vegetables the old way ever again.
I would highly recommend!!

No quibbles with the steamer function - a steamer is a steamer after all....

But why oh why oh why do RB insist on supergluing a great big sticker to the side of the basket. It took a whole hour to remove and I still haven't got all the glue off! I thought the person below was being a bit melodramatic but I wish I'd taking the comment more seriously. I would recommend spending a few extra pounds and getting a different make - unless that is you're very bored and have plenty of time to spare. Obviously RB have never heard of easypeel stickers. If you are listening RB, it's not too late - lose the sticker it's a pain in posterior.

It seems a bit of a bizarre concept, for some reason, writing a review of a steamer (loved the cliff-hanger plot, engaging cast of characters, etc!) but there you go. As my first and only electric steamer I have nothing to compare it to, and bought it purely on price, as I thought ' a steamer is a steamer is a steamer'

And it is! I'm very pleased with it, it functions splendidly, my only minor cavil is it can be a little fiddly clipping and unclipping the bases in each tier, when washing it - but for all I know all other steamers may be the same - and I certainly don't feel that this very minor inconvenience would be worth spending around �20 more on the cost of a steamer - I note many others are much more expensive.

This has 3 generously sized tiers and a rice steamer, which was absolutely what I wanted.

OK, back to the kitchen to steam some lunch!
