Product Description
While hunting German shipping, the Royal Navy submarine Trojan accidentally strikes a mine. Rocked by a tremendous explosion, the Trojan plunges to the seabed. As time - and air - starts to run out, the captain gathers together the survivors. A lucky few can escape immediately through emergency hatches - but the others will have to remain trapped…and hope that rescuers will arrive before it is too late.

Format:DVD
If you are, like me, interested in good film, then this is the one to watch. It is full of tension and superb acting from John Mills and Richard Attenborough and an outstanding cast. You feel, at times, as though you are there and unable to comprehend that there is nothing above you but deep sea and only a slim chance of being rescued from such a daunting catastrophe. I salute submariners everywhere!

Submariners especially those in wartime were of a special breed. This movie clearly shows how a boat as submarines are called can suddenly become a tomb. I found it both tense and tinged with sadness, brilliantly acted by John Mills, well worth watching.

Great "proper" British Fil
Morning Departure tells the story of a Royal Naval Submarine which sinks with some of the crew trapped just after WW11. This is a film of high tension, very realistic. Read more
