Product Description

Review

We wanted to prove that a car that was a comfortable high speed long distance tourer could race at Le Mans and cover itself in glory. So far the performance of Chris and Richard in TOK has not been equalled but we are not about to give up and Morgan definitely has unfinished business at Le Mans. I would recommend this book to anyone. It is the story of how skill and personal determination can beat the most elaborate, expensive and sophisticated machinery, the story of David versus Goliath. I warmly hope that it inspires the reader to try and achieve their own personal dreams. --Charles Morgan, Chairman Morgan Motor Company

Format: Paperback
This second edition of the book brought out about 7 years ago and now updated with Richard Shepherd-Barron's details opens a very interesting window on a famous part of Morgan's history. With two forewords by Charles Morgan, the book tells the story of how Morgan was thrown out of the race in 1961 but came back the next year to win the 2 litre GT category at an average speed of nearly 95 mph. A very good read with some interesting pictures and details, this book should be high on any Morgan enthusiasts "wish list" - it would make a great Christmas present! I really enjoyed it.

This new version is an extended edition from the first and has words by Chris Lawrence's co driver Richard Shepard Barron. A good read and a must for your "Morgan" library.
