Product Description

Product Description

At the core of Morgan motoring lies the Morgan 4/4. It is the great grandparent of the rest of the 'traditional' Morgan range. Representing the best of the traditional British sports car, it combines modern performance and reliability with iconic styling that recalls a golden age of motoring. In this fascinating and in-depth account, Michael Palmer examines the car's history, design, development and manufacture.

About the Author

Michael Palmer was born in Bermondsey, South East London, in 1963. Educated in Kent, he took an apprecenticeship with British Airways in 1980. Once completed he took up a position with a flight simulation company. In the mid 1980s the opportunity arose for him to work as a technician in the printing industry. Throughout the 1990s he wrote short sketches and one liners for a variety of shows on BBC radio and ITV, before concentrating on writing projects. Michael has had a lifelong interest in cars - Alvis, Bentley and Jaguar in addition to Morgan. Michael can be spotted regularly on the Kent roads at the wheel of his royal ivory 1997 Morgan 4/4.

This book is brilliant - a full history and technical specs of the Morgan 4/4 from the first up to the latest 2010 models. Very well illustrated and very readable. One or two slight spelling errors but that is the only drawback. This book is a must for 4/4 owners, prospective owners and those interested in the marque.
