3.0 out of 5 stars spelling and gramatical errors spoil readibility, 6 April 2007

This review is from: More Than 36 Stratagems: A Systematic Classification Based on Basic Behaviours (Paperback)
Readibility of this book would be vastly increased if the authors had made the effort and put it through a spell check. Some sentences just don't make sense. These errors create a distraction as you try to focus on and appreciate the otherwise sound/ interesting content.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good, 12 Feb 2007
By B. T. Blodgett - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: More Than 36 Stratagems: A Systematic Classification Based on Basic Behaviours (Paperback)
The 36+ stratagems were presented in a manner that reminded me of a college textbook. The stratagems were all clearly named, explained and examples were given from their original application in ancient times. However, 1 or 2 of the modern examples fell somewhat short of providing a clear and concise model/application of the stratagem and instead tried to twist current political situations to fit into the stratagem's criteria. There were also several grammatical and spelling errors throughout the book.

Overall, I feel this book is a good introduction into the study of the 36 stratagems.
