I bought this book for my son who is soon to go to secondary school. He has read it daily and achieved some amazing results from the guidance it gives.

Although really for adults it is ok for his age(11) + all the family have has a read too.

Worth the investment - a great collection in one book.

A fun and fine guide to using Phoenix, the browser-based image editor 18 Oct 2009
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
MORE THAN ONE WAY TO SKIN A CAT: CREATE EYE-POPPING EFFECTS USING AVIARY (WITHOUT PAYING FOR PHOTOSHOP!) provides a fun and fine guide to using Phoenix, the browser-based image editor. All the basic tips and tricks are here - with an added, satisfying focus on humor and fun. Learn how to liquify, create lighting, swap faces and color and more using a fine set of step-by-step tutorials that cover everything about the program. Given Photoshop's expense and technical challenges, many a photography collection will find More Than One Way to Skin a Cat a popular pick to a satisfying alternative.

This is fun! 29 Mar 2012

This book has introduced me to a new hobby where only my imagination sets the limits for what I can do. The book has helped me learn what I thought was very difficult to do, and I am learning via excercises that are fun to do. Note that Aviary now are free to use, so you don't get to use the one-year-for-free-code that comes with the book. You can find many of the tutorials in this book online on the Aviary.com website, but I prefer to have the book with photos included on a DVD that comes with it.
