5.0 out of 5 stars More Than Just For Mothers 10 Dec. 2010
Written with wit, sometimes heartbreaking honesty, and a lot of passion, More Than Just A Mother is an always interesting read by a very talented writer. And you don't have to be a parent to appreciate it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just FAB 10 Dec. 2010
Whatever you've experienced as a parent then Emily has too - with humour and panache! These snippets of her life will make you yell "YEAH, ME TOO!" but she has a way of putting it into words that make you smile.

5.0 out of 5 stars Motherhood - the Real Truth 10 Dec. 2010
Funny, clever, touching, thought-provoking - this is a fantastic blog. I've enjoyed Emily's writing for ages and it's great to be able to subscribe via my Kindle and read whenever I have a moment. Grab a cup of coffee, sit down for five minutes and enjoy this blog from an up and coming writer.

5.0 out of 5 stars How Life Really Is... 15 Dec. 2010
There are a lot of myths about motherhood and Emily Carlisle debunks them all. From having an emergency wee in one of the children's nappies whilst stuck in a traffic jam (it's amazing how much a Pampers Baby-Dry can hold) to reviews of the latest toys, this is the only motherhood blog I read and it never fails to make me laugh - or, when you have read Emily's own story - cry. Highly recommended for mothers, father, sisters, aunties, uncles, grandparents...everyone, in fact! (except perhaps the kids - this is strictly adults only!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Company Along The Parenting Pathway 17 Nov. 2011
I only discovered Emily's blog a few weeks ago, not long after I got my first Kindle in fact. I have loved reading her back-blog and am now regularly checking in for my latest dose of humour. It's her complete honesty that I really revel in, it makes me feel so much better about myself and my ups and downs along this parenting path that I have chosen! I'd also add that you don't need to be a mother or parent to enjoy this blog, I look forward to seeing it transformed into a sitcom in the not too distant future.
