Format: Hardcover
Like its predecessor, "Tales of Old Railwaymen", this book contains fascinating interviews, but is spoilt by inaccuracies. For example, a photograph of an ex-LMS 4MT, with its number clearly visible, is captioned as "a Standard engine". There is an additional annoyance in this book. There are several superb, atmospheric photographs with no caption other than to tell you the source (Colin Garratt's Milepost 92½). I realise the source has to be identified, but the interest to the readers of railway books is the subject of photographs.

The book although used, is in excellent condition, and brings back many happy memories of a childhood spent in the heyday of
rail travel.
