The Definitive Mid-90's Hip-Hop Collection,
This review is from: More Music from 8 Mile (Audio CD)
If you are a true Hip-Hop fan, you will already own all of these songs. If you're just beginning. . . well, this is a nice starter package for you.As soon as Mobb Deep proclaim "this is for the killers and the hundred dollar billers" on Shook Ones Part II, you're addicted. Every track is a classic, and flawless in every way. Nearly every aspect of Hip-Hop is covered and the album has something for everyone, from love songs (All I Need), to hardcore tracks (Shook Ones II) and party tracks (Feel Me Flow). This album is the definitive collection of mid-90's Hip-Hop, and is a must-have for any so-called Hip-Hop fan who doesn't own any of these songs. However, if most of these tracks are already present in your collections (on other albums) you should probably not buy it, as there is no new material. Despite containing nothing but old material, the album is flawless, with no glitches at all. A perfect CD.

Classics all the way, any hip hop fan will love it. However if your into Funky house and the backstreet boys then give it a miss!

The Hot Raps from '95,
This review is from: More Music from 8 Mile (Audio CD)
This is the spin-off from Eminem’s film and fortunately (depending on your viewpoint) there is no Eminem. However instead the album is filled with heart pounding beats and take no prisoner raps. The album starts off with Shook Ones part 2. It’s a grimy rap about the fake criminals. Other highlights include the banter between Lil’ Kim and Notorious B.I.G. on Get Money and the hot joint from the Wu Camp. If you want a slice of what rap was like in ’95 then this is a good chance to pick it up.
