I've paid a lot more money for walking shoes in the past and find that this trail shoe is as good as any of them.
Very true to size and good value for money.
That being said , they fit well , wear well and when going up or down our Welsh mountains grip really well.

I wore these for their first outing last night. During the day it had snowed, sleeted, hailed and rained. The trails I was running on (former railway line) were sodden and slick with mud with some pretty deep, boggy stuff thrown in for good measure. I've run this trail a lot over the last few months but last week, as the weather turned worse, my Asics Trail shoes were letting me down. I run in the dark so don't always see the slippery stuff coming and I was finding myself sliding around a fair bit.

The More Mile Cheviot shoes were awesome. I was a little unsure as I set off from home down the short, tarmac road from home to the trail. The long studs on the sole left me feeling like I was quite high up and a little unbalanced. Once on the trail, though, that vanished and, as I passed through areas that previously had seen me slipping and sliding, now without issue, my confidence (and pace) grew. In the end I did 7 miles without the merest hint of a slip or stumble. I did have a very minor blister on my left big-toe but that is my own stupid fault. 7 miles is way too long for a first run in brand new shoes.

The sole feels very stiff (should be good for some rocky trails I have planned for this weekend) and cushioning is minimal but sufficient. Comfort was excellent with a decent, tight fit around the ankle but plenty of room around the toe-box. Any water they took on got quickly forced out on the next step.

All-in-all I'me really pleased and very impressed with them. They will be my main shoe whilst training for a Trail Marathon in mid-January so I will update this review after that.

Have just purchased these shoes as need a new pair for running the Yorks 3 peaks later this year. Wore them on their debut outing on a tough 12 miler today on mixed terrain, bit of road, wet and boggy grass fields some with steep slopes, track, fell, woods and a bit more road. Comfy and springy even on tarmac, (not that I did much). The best grip shoes I have EVER had in a 20+ year running career. No blisters! Kept me well balanced on all terrains and inclines, just amazing shoes and no sliding around whatsoever despite the weeks of rain we have had. Compared with other more expensive well-known brands of off-road running shoes, in my opinion, these are at the top of the pile. I must admit, I was a little sceptical as I wasn't sure if it would be a good product in view of the price, but I am glad I was proved wrong!! If you are looking for a well built, instantly comfortable pair of off-roaders with tons of grip you can't go wrong, especially when they are such a reasonable price. I am going to order two more pairs before they run out of stock, (and so is my husband!).

Can't recommend them highly enough. I've worn them for the Sodbury Slog and yesterday's Dursley Dozen and they were perfect. Rugged enough to cope with the hills, not too heavy and the grip was perfect for all the West Country mud. They are stiffer than most trail shows but I found this helpful rather than a hindrance. And the price is great.

These are fantastic trail shoes for the price. I am normally a Salomon guy, but thought I would give these a go for a cheap pair.

I am very happy with them. The fit is good and they are comfortable. I love the grip on these. Great for running cross country, mud, grass etc but I would not recommend them for hard terrain.

They may not be waterproof, have a quick lace system or be as durable as Salomon trainers but for the price you cannot go wrong.

THIS REVIEW FROM THE NET: Getting a shoe with a decent grip is one of the first things you should think about when you get into mud running or obstacle racing. It can totally transform your experience. Instead of flailing around like Bambi on ice you'll be able to run confidently over most terrain. Of course, due to the nature of all of that muddy, wet and punishing running, our footwear will take a pounding and so will our wallets. That's why a pair of extremely cheap running shoes caught my attention. The More Miles Chevoit shoes claim to be comparable to Inov-8 Mudclaws, and are available from Amazon for between c£25 + postage.

"Surely at that price these shoes wouldn't cut the mustard?" I hear you say. Well, as an Inov-8 Mudclaw fan, I thought I'd put the Chevoits to the test.

Out of the box, the Chevoits look and feel like your average pair of trainers. They have a slightly padded mesh upper and certainly don't make use of the technical materials that we have come to expect from the more high-end trail shoes. However, when you turn them over you'll see a beastly tread. It has lugs that any ATV would be proud of. In fact, they actually seem to be a fair amount deeper than the Mudclaw.

Once on the foot, they feel padded all-around and are a relatively tight fit for their size. I've seen a few recommendations online to order half a size up with these. I'm not sure about that, but you'd certainly want to try them on before buying or at least order them from a store with a good returns/exchange policy.

With such enormous and deep lugs, when you're on hard ground you actually feel like you're raised up on platforms.
