5.0 out of 5 stars Ivor's last stand 22 Sep 2006
Format:Audio CD
Ever since "The Fruity Bits of Ivor Biggun" was released in 1999, winkers worldwide have been clamouring to get their calloused hands on the other songs from the albums that were essential listening for teenage bedrooms or long car journeys: "The Winker's Album (misprint)", "More Filth! Dirt Cheap..." and "Partners In Grime". Out-of-print for over a decade, these tracks have now been digitally re-fumbled and are ready to be restored to their rightful place in Mr. Biggun's canon and this nation's comic heritage.

This smorgasbord of smut is compiled from those first three long players, rare singles and extended plays, live recordings and private pressings (and even a new Christmas song). It's (nearly) all here, forty-four of the little meisterwerks, crammed onto two CD's; the ingredients for a lifelong partnership - Something Old (Ivor), Something New (but still as rancid as the old un's), Something Borrowed (most of the tunes) and Something Blue (that'll be Ivor again).

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank you for this compliation 24 July 2007
Format:Audio CD
Oh my mispent youth. I got "more filth dirt cheap" from my parents in the early 80's for xmas. They spotted the cover and deemed it right up my street. How right they were. This is pure genius. If you laughed at the best bits of the Benny Hill show and see the funny side of the Macc Ladds then get this. Skiffle based toilet humour at its wittiest. The musicianship is top notch. Ivor plays more instruments than Roy Castle and with himself frequently.

4.0 out of 5 stars Naughty but Nice 15 Aug 2009

Well, this took me back a bit! I used to have a load of Ivor Biggun stuff on cassette (remember them?) and came across (ha ha!) this on a random internet search. I thought, 'What the hell?', Doc Cox probably needs the money. Whilst the quality on some of the earlier stuff leaves something to be desired, the witty lyrics and catchy tunes are still great after 20 years or so. If you want to have some great music to keep the kids occupied on those long holiday drives to Cornwall or Scotland, this isn't it. You don't really want your children shouting 'I'm a Wanker' at school really, do you...?

okay collection," winkers song" still stands the test of time, the other tracks sound a bit dated (imo). Liked the booklet though.

Yet another funny rugby type songs album from the Ivor Biggun range, a little outdated now but will still bring a smile to your face
