Another one of those books that is gaining a reputation,by the prices being asked,it would seem to be a great book, and yes it is,and worth any amount that you have to pay for it.It is a book that won't date as it is full of wonderous pictures, and if you want any kind of insight into the mind of eno then get it,you will thank me for it.

More Dear than Near 31 Oct 2002
By C. Gardner - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I bought this book when it was first published in 1986, and it changed my life. Too bad it's out of print! The text is very well-written, explaining how the influences on Eno & Mills--Duchamp, Cage, and the Dadaists in particular--were synthesized by these two contemporary artists. Eno's lyrics are still some of the best rock music has produced--strange juxtapositions, fragmented narratives, electronic haikus that are still very funny and disturbing. Eno explains the genesis of many of them in this volume, which is rare--he's a very private person. We also get facsimiles of pages of his 1970s notebooks, revealing how he searched for novel methods of evoking the creative impulse in himself and others in his work as one of the most distinctive record producers.

Dated 26 Jan 2013
By Michael J Nader - Published on Amazon.com

I have been listening and collecting Eno since I was 13. I came across this book online and was excited to get it until I read it. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I didnt see it here though. Keep in mind this is an older work and not really Brian Eno's work as well. It is one person's interpritaion of another persons creativity. I found the art works dated and not to my taste. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised though. I am sure other people would not understand my interpritaions if I were to creat art inspired by Brian Eno as well. It's all relative.

Images created in response to the music of eno . 29 Dec 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book contains roger mills's images created in response to brian eno songs. Many are beautiful, more are ugly, all are interesting. Also included are several pages of facinating notes on brian's creative processes. A must-have for die-hard eno fans.
