A very engrossing book indeed. I learnt some very fascinating things, like what shocked me most was the number of women in Ireland in recent times who not only took their own lives, but those of their children. This seems a very selfish thing to do because I thought it was mainly men who did that kind of thing.
The cases really draw you in and make you want to read on. I enjoyed the one about Sharon Collins a lot. She hired a hitman to kill her partner and his two sons so she'd get her hands on his millions. When the case was going on I didn't understand any of it for it seemed so complicated, but in More Bloody Women, the writer has written it in a very easy to understand way.
Another case that was really chilling was the Jacqueline Crymble case. She and her lover killed her poor husband, Paul in a very cold-blooded and callous way so she could get her hands on his life insurance.
I think books like this are important because they let you see how some women whether because of drink, depression, domestic abuse can be pushed to the limit and kill.
It was also interesting to learn that women will mostly kill someone they're emotionally involved. All the women in this book loved or had loved the victim. While men will not only kill their own but strangers too.
I highly recommend this book, as it's not only a book about murder, it also gives great insights into society's ills.
