This book is suitable as all of this kind are, for those students who find themselves incapable of generating thought, whose sluggish minds need to be lead on a lead by an author who may be as comprehensive of the subject as he likes but can only leave his readers (if they are intelligent) frustrated and searching for any kind of substance whatever in between the endless and pointless questions, cliches and rhetorical cant.

Format:Paperback
elegantly written little book which offers a balanced introduction to modern moral philosophy, ideal for undergraduate study and valuable in that he presents in succinct and accessible terms arguments for and against the main approaches in ethics. Written in the 1970s so not bang up to date but still a useful addition to set texts and handy for revision in first/second year philosophy.
