About the Author
Kevin Crossley-Holland published his Poems from East Anglia in 1997 and Selected Poems in 2001. Librettist and translator of Anglo-Saxon, he is also an acclaimed author for children - his Arthur trilogy is translated into 22 languages while his medieval pilgrimage novel, Gatty's Tale, is published this year by Orion. With Lawrence Sail, he has edited Light Unlocked: Christmas Card Poems and The New Exeter Book of Riddles, both of them published by Enitharmon. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and an Honorary Fellow of St Edmund Hall, Oxford. Norman Ackroyd studied at Leeds College of Art and subsequently at the Royal College of Art, London. He has had many solo exhibitions, both in Britain and internationally. His public mural commissions, produced in etched stainless steel or bronze, include Lloyds Bank, London; British Airways, Birmingham Airport; Freshfields, London; Tetra Pak, Stockley Park, Heathrow; and a bronze mural for the Main Hall of the British Embassy, Moscow. He was elected a Royal Academician in 1991 and was made Senior Fellow, Royal College of Art in 2000.
