This is much better than his last album Wheelhouse which apart from a few tracks did not work for me and I thought was a bit of a mess. It would appear others must have thought much the same as it did not sell as well as his other albums. This is a return to form with songs that are humourous, fun, rollicking, moving and powerful The album gets off to a thumping start with 'bro country' Crushin' It". High Life is both infectious and humourous. Plenty of other highlights and nothing that needs skipping over like his last album. This is a more typical Paisley album which still has his sense of adventure without going too far. Not his best album for me but close to it. High quality modern country music well played and well sung with and many of the tracks well suited to the arena. An enjoyable lsiten. Recommended.

I have not been able to stop listening to this album - it is great. Brad is back to his old self, in regards to his flawless guitar work and genius lyrics, but yet he's remaining contemporary... and it's working! (unlike Wheelhouse - reinventing himself didn't go so well here)

The song Moonshine in the Trunk is one that is just pure class, I love Brad and his guitar magic, and this one certainly will blow you away. Perfect Storm is a wonderful ballad, as is Shattered Glass.

The rest of the tracks are superb and well worth listening to... again and again... I can't wait to get back in my car and listen to it again on my drive home. If air guitaring was possible whilst driving, I would never have my hands on the wheel.

This doesn't have as many great tracks as Wheelhouse but it is typically good. There are some real tongue-in-cheek keepers like High Life and River Bank and some anthemic country tracks like Country Nation and Moonshine in the Trunk. As always, the album is musically excellent.

Pure Brad back on form again after the So-So-Southern Comfort Zone (unintentional stutter there!!!). Fun tracks and powerful ballads, (Perfect Storm - brilliant!). I can't wait for his next one.

Another gem of an album from Brad. As usual, a great and clever mix of the fun-lovin tune and the poignant heart-breaker.

First of all I'm a big fan of Brad P and my wife and I have seen him 3 times live and met him twice. I just think I've got a bit bored with his music. I gave this 3 stars as I did his last, there seems more production and auto tune on this album then WHEELHOUSE, but I feel it's not much better then the last. Brad Paisley is a great entertainer, great guitar player and a great bloke, but I feel as if I've heard it all before, the same guitar sound, same type of lyrics, and just how many songs do we need to hear WOOH as a backing vocal. I like the fact he has his own sound and style, but he needs to move on. I feel each time I buy his new album I know what's on it before I press play. My fave is HIGH LIFE. My fave song he has recorded over the last few years was his charity song HARD LIFE, better then any song on the last 2 albums. He and his co writers seem to have run out of ideas, I enjoy his fun, I just don't think his songs are as strong as they used to be, there's nothing new here. The sales of Wheelhouse / the lack of big hit singles should be telling him it's time for a change and a change of co writers, there are no class songs like, WHISKEY LULABY [ the song that made me a fan ],WAITIN' ON A WOMAN, WITH YOU, WITHOUT YOU, EVERYBODYS HERE, ONE OF THOSE LIVES, WATER, WORKIN' ON A TAN, THEN, etc, also the album design is bad, not much thought gone into it, I still like to buy cd's as the sound quality is far better, also no lyrics included. I think BP needs to take more time choosing, writing and recording songs for the next album, less can be more, 10 quality songs with different sounds and styles is better then 14 plus 2nd rate of what we have already bought before. Still love Brad, but think I've been spoilt by Justin Currie and his excellent lyrics and fantastic songs.
