when I was younger i used to place much credence in these university publications

since then ive realized that buddhism is a philosophy of action
the philosophy cannot be supremely understood when one does not have a practice as many of these scholars evidently dont

scholars may be useful for nitpicking philological details and reconstruction texts and getting them out there to the public, but their philosophizing often does more harm than good

the question of the epistemological status of the little truth is not even resolved in this book, nor could i, after having read it recall any memorable proposed solusions.

a much better inquiry into the same problem is found in a NON academics work:
