Nice story but has historical problems
on 25 March 2016
Ms McBride should probably stick to C20th USA. As a great fan of regency romance, I had 3 problems with this.
1)To me, Georgian means C18th - The First three Georges. Using Georgian to describe the period after the Regency when Prinny became King seems strange.
2) One of the Englishmen uses "Fall" to refer to Autumn. Grated particularly because the point had just been made that the h's speech patterns were strange.
3)Everyone acts as if Jane Austen's identity was still unknown in 1825, whereas it had been revealed on her death 8 years previously.
