The second in the Stonewylde series, 'Moondance' continues the story where 'Magus' left off. It's a lot darker in places but the characters are much more developed - we see more of Sylvie and Yul's relationship and although I like this one best as Yul doesn't suffer as much physically, Kit Berry builds the tension between them and Magus till right at the end with a huge cliffhanger that will make you long to read the next one!
For me , the highlight is seeing how the Stonewylders celebrate more of the 8 festivals, notably Lammas and Mabon. Kit has visualised and written so vividly about how the harvest is gathered and how to celebrate at the cricket match, how the apples are gathered in autumn and turned into cider. The Stonewylde world is so well described in this novel - if you weren't hooked by now, you will be!
