Sit, breathe, be... 12 July 2004
This is one of the best books on meditation I have ever come across: the writing is peotic and profound, yet it retains a clarity and simplicity that makes what can be a an overly complicated subject easily accessible.

I have read many books on meditation over the years - and attended several classes - but it has only been since following the beautifully simple and affirmative instruction in this book that I have been able to sustain a regular meditation practice.

Jessica describes various techniques, but focuses on the most simple - that of simply sitting and focusing on the breath - and takes the beginner through slow stages of increasing focus until they are easily able to gently meditate for 15 minutes at a time (the optimum time for de-stressing - and an easy amount of time to clear in anyones day!).

Through-out the book she explains both the health giving results of simple meditation - and the deeper spiritual gains; in doing so she provides a clear and simple book for those who simply want to learn how to "Clear a little space" in their busy lives - whilst also providing advice for the deeper Spiritual Seeker.

A beautiful book - and one that is a constant companion by my meditation cushion. Buy it, and find a little time in your life to rediscover the Peace inside you.

This is an excellent book on the practice of meditation and dealing with the problems that can be encountered. Ideal for the beginner or those who are having problems with meditation.
