Reliable, and tall, 15 April 2007
This review is from: TP Explorer Climbing Frame (Toy)
We've had one of these with various add ons for about a year and my three year old now likes climbing right to the top - never having fallen off yet, and her 7 year old best friend really likes it too. The good thing about it is you can put it at half hight for smaller ones, but it can last them a lot longer when assembled to full height. It's really sturdy and doesn't seem to've weathered. It is quite tall, about 2ms, being above our back fencing but is cheaper than a lot of other climbing toys and multi purpose being a climber, a tower or a building to hide under in various games. It's good for a small agrden I think in a way too and takes up less room than a swing or slide although it will take seperate attachments as it is a modular system that can be added to to create a full activity play set if required. The only drawback is really that when standing in the top it takes some skill to manouvere yourself around without knocking yourself, but then again kids like all that under and over business so who am I to point that out. Quality, reliable, well constructed and regarded manufacturer, sold in most major shops. No safety concerns.

This item proved a little difficult to put up but once the woman of the house got involved and consulted the instructions it was soon sorted. Do read the instructions and sort the items out, and look at the finished diagram, before building - it will save time in the long run! It's also easier to put up with two people but could be done alone. Some bits are fiddly and hard to line up and the allen key provided, although slow works well, but a battery powered tool came in handy and sped things up considerably. We already own the TP slide and bought this because we liked the quality of the slide which my son keeps using as a climbing frame as well as a slide, and thought the climbing frame would be of similar good quality, which it is. I bought this for my 4 year old son and he loves it, rain or shine! I got it when on special offer with free postage which was a definite bonus, he wouldn't have got it otherwise as it would have costed too much. Cheaper than my local stores. Recommended.

Bought this for my grand kids they love it. It was easy to assemble and looks great. Came within a week. It's great you can add on bits as you go along.
