Its compact size, soft foam ball and lightweight Checkerbats mean that it's great for players from as young as 6 years of age. More experienced players will enjoy fine tuning their skills, practising serves, returns, spins and smashes on the patented Checker surface. Play inside or out. Simply fill the All Surface Checkerbase with sand or water for stability and you're ready to play.

The set is very sturdy and the instructions make it easy to assemble, but is it fun? The short answer is: no. The set is far to small to allow for an interesting game, and when we unpacked it I was very disappointed in its dimensions. Sizewise, it is fit for 5-6 year olds, but in terms of actually being able to play table tennis on such a small table you need the technique of an 18 year old. I would not recommend this as a fun toy to anyone.

I found the table very small and quite difficult to do perhaps its because im a table tennis player I feel dissapointed that I brought it. Really needs to be about another 2ft longer

This table tennis set is quite easy to put together although I was very disappointed at the size of it, it was far too small for my 8/9 years olds and they won't play on it because they want to slog the ball across and it isn't long enough. Adqeuate for smaller children but make sure the height will be correct for them.
