This Swingball Centre includes 5 games--the perfect introduction for even the youngest of players. The All Surface Checkerbase allows play on virtually any surface--such as grass, decking, concrete--even sand. Simply fill the base with water or sand for stability and you're ready to play. Everything packs away into the base for easy storage --perfect for taking to a friend's house or the park.
First Swingball play starts with the tether positioned in the middle of the spiral. Each player takes it in turns to hit the ball, one hitting clockwise, the other anticlockwise. The tether will move up or down the sprial, dependent on the direction of the hit. The aim of the game is to get the tether to the top or bottom of the spiral first. Includes soft, safe foam ball and lightweight slim grip checkerbats.
First Soccer Swingball uses a lightweight junior size vinyl football to allow children as young as 3 years old to develop their soccer skills. Play against a friend or practise solo without the risk of losing the ball. Also includes 4 cones to perfect your dribbling skills.
Swingball Centre also features Tailball with a 'Y' net and connectors. The Tailball streamers slow and stabilise flight, making throwing, striking and catching easier. The unique flight allows you to hit the soft ball as hard as you can without losing control. It can fly high up in the air and will always land the right way up--ideal for deleloping hand-eye co-ordination.
Set also includes a flying disc so if you fancy running further afield this would be ideal. Develop your catching and throwing skills with the volleyball and keep a count of the rally.

I always wanted a swing-ball as a kid and never got one. Now I've kids of my own it was time to put things right.
I would certain recommend it. You might be a little unimpressed with the sturdiness of it initially (its an all plastic affair). Despite this, it is surprisingly strong. It will stand up to some serious punishment form enthusiastic kids (and grown up kids).
The tennis game is perhaps not as good as I remember but OK. Surprisingly it's the bonus games (which we didn't really care that much about) that really makes it stand out
Swing football is excellent. It is weirdly satisfying punting a football and have it come flying back towards you. "Tailball" - which is an outdoor badminton game is also good. The volleyball is good but probably a little too advanced for younger kids. The Frisbee game we haven't tried but is a welcome extra. It also comes with 4 cones that can be used to mark out goals and a pump to inflate the balls (though this is a little flimsy). Best of all, it packs away into the box it comes with

This is great fun and keeps the kids entertained. It is made of plastic not the metal of the good old days, so when it is hit with any force, you find yourself saying "Be gentle with it". My eldest son is 4 and has developed good hand eye coordination and is happy to play on his own at times.

Purchased this for my daughter's 4th birthday, and both her and my 6 year old have had lots of fun playing with it. The base holds all the extras, which is a great design; however we've now filled ours with sand to keep it upright. The ball is of a firm sponge variety (instead of tennis ball)which is a safer option for the younger age range. The net is a particularly good extra, as it's surprisingly large and so fab for throwing and catching games. The poles don't feel particularly strong, but seem to be standing up to their play so far! (have told the children not to lean/pull too hard on them though.) Have also taken it camping as it's easily collapsed and put together.
In all, a great first Swing Ball with well thougt out extras.

The kids pinched our last one.
We bought the simpler set for our grandchildren to play in the garden with.As they complained that all their mates had one and they didn't,of course we had to give them ours. Read more
