I read this book to my year three class and they enjoyed it so much thet wrote a review!!
Judy Moody is always in a mood, and it's usually a bad one. In this book she is trying to get famous any way that she can. She enters her cat (called Mouse) into a pet contest and stole some dolls from a hospital. She still didn't get famous.
We would reccomend this book because it's funny and entertaining, with interesting characters.

Bought for my 6 year old son for xmas. He is a good reader and enjoys Astrosaurs books, horrid henry and books by Jeremy Strong, this was an alternative as he had had one from library and enjoyed it. Good and amusing stories, not too wordy, excellent for children who are now reading 'proper books' but don't want whole pages of words. Recommend, would suit boy or girl.

Judy Moody is a young girl that easily gets in a mood. When she is in a mood it is not unusual for her to ROAR at people or just out loud. She is a wonderful character to read and her books are great fun for the young and young at heart. And with over 20 books in the Stink and Judy Moody series she is a very popular young girl. Her books have been translated and are enjoyed around the world. With every book I read, I enjoy the writing by Megan McDonald and the Artwork by Peter H. Reynolds even more. Because I have not been reading them in order, it was interesting to go back to this one and see illustrations of Stink before his own line of books started, to see the evolution of Stink as it is. This was another wonderfully entertaining story in a magnificent series!

The chapters in this book are:
Who's Who
How Do You Spell Famous?
The Moody Hall of Fame
Infamous
Fame Is the Pits
Famous Pet Contest
Broken Records
Broken Parts
Body Parts
Judy Moody and Jessica Flinch
Judy Moody, Superhero

In this adventure Judy Moody wants to get famous. One of the girls at school has been in the paper and won a tiara, and after asking around, Judy finds out her mother has been in the paper, her little brother, and even both of her best friends. ROAR! Judy tries a number of ways to get famous but either ends up infamous, or cropped out or misspelled. Then she has an idea to do something for other people and though no one knows it was her, she finds her one reward. Again this was a great read and all of the books in the series are worth reading. Give them a try. You will smile, and laugh and maybe it will help you not be in a mood!

Judy Moody gets better and better. With each book I read, I am more impressed with the storytelling abilities of Megan McDonald and Peter H Reynolds. Their ability to capture family life, with all its quirks, is amazing. They also do an incredible job of capturing friendships and a child's enthusiasm for something that grabs their attention. And in this book, that is protecting the environment. It all starts in science class and the section on the environment. The chapters in this story are:

Crazy Strips Contest
Batty for Banana Peels
A Mr. Rubbish Mood
Pigtoes, Pumas, and Pimplebacks
Beetle Emergency
Pond Scum
Luna Two
Batty for Band-Aids
Project P.E.N.C.I.L.
Batty for Bottles
The Winking Disease

Judy, as usual, gets herself into trouble. She wants to save the world. And she starts at home. Unfortunately she upsets her mother, father, and little brother Stink in her first attempt. Second, she tries to do something at school, but she ends up angering her whole class. But that leads to the idea for Mr. Todd's class 3T to collect bottles to plant trees in the rainforest. The class works together and they achieve some amazing results. To find out what, pick up the book and give it a read.

This is another wonderful book in a great series. And while most of the books have lessons about learning who you are and becoming better at being, this one focuses outward and has a lesson we can all learn from. Great story in an amazing series.

Judy Moody has got to school and has seen the news paper. On the front is a picture of a realy snooty pops girl in her class called Jessica Finch who had won a spelling contest. Jessica was wearing a tiara! She said she was Queen Bea!
Judy is jealous, very jealous! She wants to become famous too! So she goes to a pets talant show with her cat called Mouse who was going to make toast. Judy wins second prize and has her picture takn for the news paper, but in the photo you can only see her elbow. Judy dosn't feel at all famous. Judy tries other trick's, but then...
Fantastic and truly wonderful explanation, I like your ideas for all your characters. Also very interestng. Fun for children. Probably aged for years 6 to 10. Wonderful descriptions and lovely adjectives. My favourite characters are definatly going to be Judy, Stink and Rocky because Judy is very funny, Stink just tries to fit in and Rocky is realy cool.
