This was a badly written, badly illustrated, boring boring book. Sycophantic and self indulgent on the part of the authors. Just really contains accounts by fans of their encounters with other fans and sometimes meeting the group. They are a fantastic band but this book does them absolutely no justice whatsoever... don't waste your money.

I anticipated this book to be terrific but was extremely disappointed. It is filled with poor photographs submitted by fans and there is absolutely nothing written in the chapters that is new or exciting. I am still hoping that the publishers of Higher & Higher will be doing their own retrospective book of the Moodies career.

This book was poorly written and extremely poorly organized. It primarily consists of available interviews, reviews, and website information. Most of it is available online. As for the photographs, they appear to have been inserted in order to bulk out the book itself, as they were single photographs per page where two or three might have fit. I love the Moodies, but this book is not worthy of them. Unless you're an obsessive fan who requires a copy of everything ever written on the band, don't waste your money.

OK -This book may not be too glossy or authorised, but it does as it states in the books introduction - it is published in the abscence of any other current or authorised book, or biography on the Moodies, giving any interested or curious Moodies fans some history of the group, along with many other facts, stories, pics and accounts of various fans "first hand" experiences of concerts or Band encounters.
I find it a welcome little book and it balances nicely against the abscence of anything else available.
