Lucy H. Pearce is mother of three. The contributing editor at JUNO magazine, as well as author, artist and teacher. Her blog Dreaming Aloud.net began in 2010, where she muses on motherhood, mindfulness, creativity and living philosophy. Founder of The Happy Womb.com, a resource hub for women's empowerment, she leads women's workshops in the UK and Ireland. Her first book is Moon Time: a guide to celebrating your menstrual cycle.

I am a mother and found having one and then two children overwhelming. This book made me feel that I'm actually not doing too bad a job and also that I am one of many! I am the slowest of readers but I read this book in half a day, I was so inspired by the honesty in it and finally felt I could relate to someone else's mothering experience. The author, Lucy H. Pearce has inspired me to re-find aspects of myself that I thought motherhood had wiped out. I would highly recommend this book, it is a treasure.

When I recieved this book I devoured it in less than 24 hours and know that will return to it time and again.
Lucy writes about many of the things that we think and feel as mothers but can't always admit. She writes of the good times, the bad times, the hard times and the times which are just so amazing we don't always have the words.
Her style is warm and fresh, motherly without being fussy, at times magical and evocative. Whatever you are going through as a mother, whichever part of your mothering journey you are on there is a piece of writing in this book that will resonate for you.
