Monty's Cricket Madness DVD is the complete guide to the most comical cricket gaffes and blushes with one of Britain's best-loved sportsmen, Monty Panesar. In Monty's Cricket Madness the Luton born Northamptonshire and England bowler looks at cricket's most misfortunate mishaps, as compiled by England's Barmy Army, from legendary umpire Dickie Bird's unprovoked rants at the weather conditions to England's nine dropped catches in one day against Sri Lanka in 2006. See the most hilarious Cricket gaffes such as: Shane Warne missing a sitter from Kevin Pietersen, who goes on to wrap up the Ashes series for England at the Oval in 2005, England dropping 9 catches in one day's play against Sri Lanka in 2006, West Indies legend Malcolm Marshall batting with his right hand only after breaking a thumb, and managing to hit Paul Allott for four before Sir Beefy spoils the fun in 1984 and a whole lot more!

Loved it! 9 Dec 2007
Bought Monty's DVD for my Dad;s birthday and he and I both loved it. There's loads of great contributions from cricket stars like Blowers, Gus Fraser, Yosser Hughes and many more that are really funny. Monty of course is the star but it is actually just great all round cricket entertainment. Can't wait for volume 2. Perfect for any Barmy Army types.

Not laugh out loud but some amusing stories, characters and incidents. Anyone who likes cricket will appreciate the behind the scene stories. Makes good viewing for a wet Sunday afternoon in winter!Monty Panesar - Monty's Cricket Madness [DVD]

Better than average 31 Aug 2008
By jcmacc VINE™ VOICE
Unlike many standard sporting gaffs DVDs, this cricket compilation is more than just a montage of dropped catches and daft run outs. It's a "top 30" of recent moments as selected by England's Barmy Army that range from the funny (Inzamam collapsing onto his stumps) to more serious, like the Alan Donald vs Michael Atherton duel from Trent Bridge in 1998.

Monty's links to camera show his TV presenting skills are less in line with his bowling ability and more like his fielding, but they aren't too bad. More importantly the talking heads used more frequently are the likes of Simon Hughes, Phil Tuffnel, Derek Pringle and Blowers from TMS who all deliver interesting and witty insights into the clips shown.

Overall: unexpectedly recommended.
