In 1981 pianist Chick Corea assembled his "dream band" with Joe Henderson(tenor sax), Gary Peacock(bass) and Roy Haynes(drums) who were fortunately recorded live that year at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Everyone's in superb form on five Corea originals, Peacock's 'Up, Up and...' plus impressive versions of Thelonious Monk's 'Trinkle, Tinkle' & Cole Porter's 'So In Love'.
'Live in Montreux' is a magnificent, but overlooked, Chick Corea quartet album which is essential for all fans of adventurous modern jazz.

Quality music of course, and well recorded, but I don't think anything special happens, and Roy Haynes is a bit clattery at times.
